All companies trained
On the 28th of May, Port infolink staged the last training session for the new services Notification dangerous goods, Notification waste disposal and Statement harbor dues. All companies in the port are now able to settle their vessel notifications in their entirety through the Port Community System. Between March and May, Port infolink organized a total of 31 training days with 317 participants from 110 port companies.

All vessel notifications to Port of Rotterdam Authority now via port-wide Port Community System
In mid April, Port infolink introduced the new Internet services Notification dangerous goods, Notification waste disposal and Statement harbor dues. Shipping lines and cargo handling agents can now consequently use the port-wide Port Community System to send the Port of Rotterdam Authority all their notifications pertaining to the more than 37,000 sea-going vessels calling at the port each year. With this, an end has come to the usage of two systems alongside one another as well as overlaps in work; through the reuse of information, companies are able to operate more efficiently. Port-wide solution for Export Control System (ECS)
As of the 1st of July 2009, all cargo leaving the EU will be electronically reported via the Export Control System (ECS) of Customs. On Friday the 18th of April, Port infolink presented a port-wide solution to this sizeable challenge to a large group of representatives of shipping companies, terminals, forwarders and exporters. Service Discharge information for bulk sector starting to take shape
